“I just finished reading your book and enjoyed it on several different levels.  The dogs draw you into the story and keep you reading.  As a retired Resource Specialist, I would have used the book as a means of introducing a student to an integrated classroom to build knowledge of people with disabilities.  It would be a terrific teaching tool when preparing a classroom for the introduction of a student with visual disabilities to a new classroom.  The teaching manual is excellent.

Outstanding book!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed all of the books written by Juliet. I found the stories to be educational and endearingly funny. The stories are a great setting and logical choice inspiring us to become more knowledgeable about the blind. Teaching us about others’ situations encourages positive interactions with all people.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed your adventures in San Diego, Washington D.C. & New York City. These books are so positive, well written, and important in educating the public about the independent life-style possible for the blind. It seems that everything in life has to do with attitude! Your attitude is remarkable, and your spirit for adventure is so much fun!

Every library and school should have these books to educate and encourage the public in what a positive attitude can accomplish.

Thank you so much for sharing these adventures.”

“I work at EUSD as a resource aide. I have shared these books with many of my K through 5th grade students and we have enjoyed all three books. The books work with all grades and the author also included mini lessons that make great class lessons on so many levels. I highly recommend these books which become great reads, conversations, writing assignments, etc.

Your school district will not regret purchasing these books for libraries and bringing disability awareness to schools.”

“According to the Center for Disease Control, 3.4 million Americans are visually impaired. The use of service animals has allowed the blind community to continue to explore the world around them. Juliet Cody shares a personal look at the role guide dogs play in the lives of the blind in “Marvelous Adventures with Marly and Aerie in San Diego: Book 1. Marvelous Adventures with Marly and Aerie” is the first book in Cody’s trilogy that educates children on the duties of guide dogs and the vital day-to-day functions they perform.”
